Ok after yesterdays loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong and emotional post I thought I would focus on some  fantasy today....


Let's talk blog dinning rooms.....

I love the simplicity and the chandelier is to die for.....

Love the wall and the chandelier...

Dramatic which I LOVE!!

I like the whole look and feel of this room...

Simple blend....

I am not a great fan of green paint but it works in this room.... don't know if I would be able to "dress" it
up for a dinner tho....works well for breakfast and lunch

Not sure about this one but.......there is something that just works about...

So I hope you have all had a great and peaceful weekend.....cause its time to move onto the next phase of building my dream home.


They say that the heart of the home is the kitchen and I think that in South Africa this is particularly true as we tend to gravitate towards the kitchen.  It just seems like the perfect place to catch up, share and validate each other.  AND hey its where we keep the food.


Here is a look at some of my favorite kitchens bearing in mind my multiple personality issues when it comes to my dream home....

Ok so this pic is out of focus but I love the black and steel look.

I love the "chandelier" and the light elegance of this kitchen

I like the "round" shape of this kitchen but there seems to be a little much going on.  I would definitely dial it back a bit!! 

I love the this rustic look....the detail on the cupboards and table is really fitting.

This look seems to be a good combination between the rustic farm house and elegant loft.

Love the checkered floor and once again the lights hanging over the island

Other rustic look....not tooooooo sure about the horse on the counter tho!!!!

I just LOVED this pic and had to use it somewhere.....so ............!!!

I have a dream………

I would love to design and build and furnish and decorate my own home.  I have a thousand different ideas and I seem to suffer from multiple personality disorder because one day I will want my whole house white and the next decked out in colour, one day minimalism and the next full of STUFF!! 

If I ever am blessed enough to design and build my own home I am going to have to be seriously medicated.

Here is a look at some bathroom looks which have recently caught my eye...

Simple, clean lines with just a hint of colour

I think I would feel very grown up in this bathroom

I have bathroom issues and hate to share my space so I like the idea of a his/hers basin but I want his against the other wall or even better........in his own bathroom!!!

This feels very bold with just a hint of the old fashioned when you look at the feet of the bath

I am crazy about this but then I want the view that goes with it too......

Ultra modern....I like the lighting which brings colour into this space and hey check out
the size of that bath....not forgetting the shower in the background!!!

I just LOVE the simple elegance....it makes me feel peaceful just looking at it

What is NOT to love...shoes and bling!!!!! And check out the view!! I just LOVE it even if
it is a little OTT!!!!!
